Immerse yourself in a transformative week in the Lovcen National Park - not far from the Kotor coast. This place offers a unique climate and exceptional air quality because it sits 1000m high, yet it is near the sea. A beautiful place for adventure, restoration, and relaxation.
Welcome to your home for the week, ASUMA.

You crave getting back to nature and reuniting with the adventure babe that is within you. Asuma is the perfect playground with 10 acres to explore, plus we have excursion options to Skadar lake and Kotor to connect with the sea. Sometimes the best way to find ourselves is to get lost in nature.

You accept the invitation to release the weight you've been carrying - old stories, self-doubt, and the emotions that no longer serve you. Through somatic movement, stillness, mindfulness, and journaling, you'll gently shed what's been holding you back. Step into the lightness of your joyful, authentic self - the one ready to live fully and freely again.

You pour into everyone else - your family, your work, your community - until there's nothing left for you. This retreat is you sacred pause, a chance to refill your cup and remember what it feels like to be deeply nourished. Step away from the noise, return to your breath, and come home to yourself.

A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to connect breath to movement as we create energy, awareness, and vitality in the body. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.
26 poses + 2 breathing exercises. By doing these yoga poses, one can exercise and invigorate all of the body by stimulating its glands, nerves, and organs and by improving circulation of oxygen throughout the body.
Long, slow, and deep is one way to describe this yoga class. It's yin(ish) focused, meaning postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods of time to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind.
Expect to move in this class, but with minimal flow, more basic poses and longer holds. This class will help to improve range of motion, balance, and understanding of physical limitations. We use a variety of props: straps, bolsters, and blocks to deepen the stretch and find support in the postures.
Somatic Yoga is all about feeling and exploring. Emma gives movement suggestions, but encourages you to follow your intuition and move in a mindful, yet playful way. It's a gentle and nourishing practice that brings us back to our softness and innocence, while releasing stored emotions energy. This can help you develop a more self-compassionate relationship with yourself and your body.
"It starts in the mind." It is our most powerful asset and will impact how everything in our lives will go, it can even impact how a day in paradise will go. Think about it... if you are operating from an anxious or negative mindset, it doesn't matter what the location is, you'll find what's wrong or could go wrong. That will limit the amount of enjoyment you will experience in the day.
If you have a rested, positive outlook you'll be able to be more present and happier.
That is why we start and end every day of the retreat with gentle mindfulness, meditation, and journaling training. These are not counseling sessions. They are Christian and Somatic based workshops that invite breath work that helps change the energy of the body, and journaling prompts / tips to bring awareness to thoughts you want to keep.
Since 2011, Emma has been coaching others on how to let go of limiting beliefs and identify thinking patterns that will help you show up as your best self.
You’ll explore the many different ways that mindfulness can help us live in the moment to manage stress, enhance our relationships and improve our health, happiness and wellbeing. You'll become better at handling and recovering from stress. These practices sharpen your attention and enhance your memory function, increase your positive emotional experience and outlook, and make you more engaged in life.
